Award-Winning Chili

A bowl of chili topped with sour cream, shredded cheese, and parsley, accompanied by saltine crackers on the side.

We are only days away from welcoming spring. But any Coloradan knows that March can be as tricky as a leprechaun and can sneak in a few snowstorms — even after the vernal equinox. Keep warm this month with this recipe for an award-winning chili.

• 1 lb ground turkey

• 1 lb ground beef

• 1 medium onion, chopped

• 2 14-oz cans beans of your choice

• 1 tsp pepper

• ½ c chopped green peppers

• 1 8-oz can diced mild chiles (optional)

TO GARNISH

• Grated sharp cheddar cheese

• Green onions, finely chopped

INSTRUCTIONS
