Last month, Morgan County REA was hit hard by the unexpected passing of our fellow employee and friend, Fabian Vigil, on August 2. Fabian was an exceptional journeyman lineman, and as our working foreman he excelled in guiding MCREA crews in the field. While Fabian was incredibly proud to be a lineman, working to keep the lights on—his greatest priority was always the safety and well-being of the men he worked beside. He was a leader and teacher, committed to making those around him better.
For over seven years, Fabian was an important piece of not only the co-op’s operations department, but of the entire MCREA team. Always willing to lend a hand, and equipped with a humor and wit that was uniquely his own, he was a trusted coworker and a good friend. This loss is felt deeply throughout our co-op family.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Fabian’s family and friends through this very difficult time.
