Before Rob “Poppy” Parker, his son Ryan Parker, and their friend Bill LeVasseur were “BrainStormers” they were “backyard geniuses.” That’s where they got their start and you can still find more information about the three Elbert locals at www.backyardgenius.com.
There you will also find a link to Boost Tech Camp, a summer program from the backyard geniuses that teaches kids how things work through hands-on training and experimenting. This year there is a Saturday Lego Robot Club, as well as weekday programs on motors, drones, rockets, micro controllers and more. The robot club begins Saturday, June 6 and the other classes are scheduled throughout June.
