Downed power lines are dangerous. Always assume the line is energized and avoid going near it or anything it is in contact with. You may see more electric lines down during the spring storm season so it is important to remember these safety tips:

• Never drive over a downed line.
• Never drive through water that may be touching a downed power line.
• Never try to move a downed power line.
