Rooted in Reliability

MVEA’s 2025 Strategy Map

Every year, Mountain View Electric Association’s Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team meets to develop a strategic plan that includes priorities to better serve our growing co-op membership. This year, after the 2025 strategic plan was approved, MVEA’s leadership team worked together to identify a key focus area that spans across strategic plans, priorities, and projects. While safety remains our top priority, throughout 2025 reliability will take center stage as we work to further strengthen our commitment to deliver dependable service.

To that end, our six strategy map priorities are more than just words on paper — they represent meaningful infrastructure upgrades and process improvements that will play an important role in building a more resilient and reliable electric distribution system to serve our growing co-op membership and the increased demand for electricity.

1. Safety: To support and enrich our culture of safety for employees, members, and contractors.

2. Reliability & Resiliency: To position MVEA as an industry leader in providing reliable and resilient energy services.

3. Affordability: To offer competitive rates to the MVEA membership through cost management and strategic rate design.

4. Member Engagement: To provide service excellence across all member touchpoints while being a trusted partner in our communities.

5. Employee Relations: To foster a purpose-driven culture where employees feel rewarded and valued.

6. Technology & Innovation: To develop a systematic approach to technology deployment and innovation while building a culture of security.

In recent issues of the magazine, we have talked about the implementation of an Advanced Distribution Management System, a comprehensive wildfire mitigation plan, and our fiber broadband expansion — all are initiatives driven by our strategy map and rooted in reliability.

At the core of everything we do is a commitment to being there when you need us most, offering a dependable service you can trust. As a member-owned electric cooperative, we are not just a utility — we are your neighbors, working alongside you to provide the safe, reliable, affordable, and responsible electric service you can count on every day. Together, we will build a more resilient future, driven by the commitment to reliability that has always defined MVEA.

Thank you for trusting us to power your homes, businesses, and lives — we’re proud to serve you. Look for updates about important projects, events, and more in future issues of the magazine and on www.mvea.coop.
