Roy Rogers (1911–1998) was known as the “King of Cowboys,” and appeared in numerous radio and television episodes of The Roy Rogers Show.
In 1990, I made my first ride with the Harley Owners Group from Westminster, California, to Victorville. When our group arrived at the Roy Rogers Museum, we were surprised to find out Roy had learned of our visit and was there to greet us.
Having Roy give our group a personal tour was a highlight for me, as I watched Roy Rogers on television with my grandpa while growing up in Walsenburg. Even after all these years, I still watch Roy and the gang on television.
