The U.S. residential solar market reached a new record for solar installations in the third quarter of 2019, according to a report from the Solar Energy Industries Association. Residential installations totaling 712 megawatts were recorded in July, August and September.
The industry also reported that, overall, 2.6 gigawatts were installed during the quarter, increasing total U.S. solar capacity to 71.3 gigawatts. That is a 45% increase over the previous year.
